The Death Ride Returns!

We are pleased to announce the revival of the Flint Hills Death Ride. One of the most challenging one day event in the country!!! July 28-29 will be the 16th annual Flint Hills Death Ride. There will be 70ish* miles of OFF ROAD riding. *Note the ish and do not complain if your computer says 80+miles!

No complainers, whiners, or crybabies allowed! This event is not for the weak at heart. If you are not physically and, most of all, mentally fit do not even bother coming to Madison, Kansas. We don't want you! We want the most insane, grueling, determined, excited, and motivated cyclists in the country. Only 63% of the fit athletes survived the last grueling ride. This was close to a record of most finishers, and it certainly was nowhere near the worst percentage.

Over 5,000 vertical feet of climbing. The roads are ROUGH! During our typical year we shred 10 tires on the support cars. Bikes won't flat any more than your typical mountain bike ride, but the roads are rough enough that by the end of the day you'll be begging to get off your bike.

The High School will be open for indoor sleeping, outside camping, and showers. The showers will be open at the downtown city pool on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Additionally, camping will be available at the city park. There will be restrooms, toilets and water available all weekend at the city park.

May your legs last longer than the trail!!!
